About
Hi. I’m Elise Mitchell. This is where I think out loud about riding motorcycles, meeting people, visiting places and doing whatever I can to live with the wind in my face.
I’m the founder of Mitchell Communications Group. When I’m not working or riding with my husband, I’m usually spending time with our two kids — going to ballgames, helping with homework and doing anything that keeps me involved in their worlds.
The name of this blog, Looking Through the Turn, represents a fundamental principle of motorcycling that’s also a great analogy for life: As you approach a turn, you must look where you want to go rather than fixating on the potential hazards within the turn itself. Like most of us, I have had my share of falls in the twisties of work, life, love, or parenting. But my goal is to keep my eyes fixed on where I want to end up and have the courage to stay on the journey of life no matter where the road leads.
Thanks for visiting. Feel free to comment – about your bike, your trips or whatever it is that keeps you looking through the turn.
